You may remember that Retro-Now looked at the Amiga Works documentary a few years ago (if not you can read about it here). Some good news wings its way to us from Paul Bridger, the creator of this documentary as well as executive producer on the Amiga Works album, you will be able to buy a Directors Cut version on Blu-Ray in the very near future.
The original documentary was a two-hour journey through the career of musician Alistair Brimble with testimonials from key figures in the industry including The Oliver Twins, Chris Huelsbeck, Martin Edmondson, Romeo Knight, Ash Hogg, Haydn Dalton as well as the hosts of the Retro Hour podcast Dan Wood and Ravi Abbott.
So what do you get with the new version? Paul has added back in lots of stuff that could not be included in the original release, which includes extra montage elements from TV, Movies and news of the time. Also included are adverts for the Amiga which altogether adds 30 minutes of extras.
The Directors Uncut version of the documentary will be available to buy from Anarchy Studios very soon, look out for more announcements on the official Amiga Works Facebook page. As previously mentioned, there will be a limited amount of signed and unsigned copies available on Blu-Ray but get in quick as it’s likely this will be your only chance to buy them.
