Over the years, I have made some great friends in the retro scene and today I did lunch with two of them, Simon Butler of Ocean Software fame, and Mike James from Retro Gaming Roundup ( an awesome long standing retro pod cast that can be found HERE).
The guys had been at an Ocean Q/A session at The Centre for Computing History museum in Cambridge last night and were making their way back in the general direction of Liverpool where Simon lives. A meeting off the M6 was in order to catch up and for the guys to see my new book, The story of the Commodore 64 in pixels. Simon features in the book – he has provided a memoir of his thoughts on the beige machine. Simon can also be seen in the pictures below signing one of the perks – a 3D Combat School card, a game he worked on for the C64. We make a good team – and there are some big announcements coming up on projects we are working on…
