With the ZZap! 64 Kickstarter looking to kick off in the middle of April – we can start to let you good readers know of some of the perks that you can look forwards to to pledging on during the campaign.
Today we can let you know about a new game being developed called ‘Sizzler’.
It is being developed by Trevor Storey (graphics), Stuart Collier (programming) and Saul Cross (sound and music) and the premise of the game is to actually create a game by collecting the graphics, sound, code, packaging etc and getting it to ‘Zzap! Towers’ for Oliver Frey, Robin Hogg, Roger Kean and Jaz Rignall to review, hoping to get the ‘Sizzler’ rating.
Below are a couple of screens of WIP. You control a little 3-legged robot in your quest to make a ‘Sizzler’ C64 game. On the bottom screen, that is Trevor Storey at this desk creating the game graphics! There will be about 50 screens in total – it will be flip screen.
The game will definitely come as a boxed tape – will look at how feasible it would be to put on cartridge.
